Gordon Saxe, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D.

Gordon Saxe, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and a member of the Moores Cancer Center at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Saxe received his M.P.H. in Nutrition at Tulane University, his Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan, and his M.D. at Michigan State University. He completed residency training in preventive medicine at the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Saxe’s research has focused on the role of diet and lifestyle factors in breast and prostate cancer. His current research focuses on whether adoption of a plant-based diet, reinforced by stress reduction, can slow the progression of recurrent prostate cancer.
